Korinne recoiled as blood splattered across her face, hot and sticky against her cool skin. Grimacing, the blonde backed up a bit, unwilling to find herself between the fighting initiates. Despite this, she knew that she couldn't look away, no matter what happened next. She would need to know everything about their fighting styles and techniques if she hoped to be any match against either during the second phase. She had to hand it to him, although Diggs was a transfer like herself, he seemed completely at ease with a knife, and he didn't seem phased in the least as he plunged it into Payton's leg. At that bit, Kore cringed, but she took note of the wound anyhow, figuring if she went against Pay in the first round of fighting she could use the wound to her advantage somehow.
Korrine blinked her blue eyes, blonde head tilting back to look up at Diggs as he spoke to her for the first time since the train incident. "You may wanna try again." her eyes narrowed dangerously as he continued, "Or it may be you she tries to stab next." At the last little comment, Kore's eyes widened in surprised. Why would he bother giving her advice, especially after what happened on the roof? Kore could picture it clearly in her mind. She and Abby had really hit it off, and the blonde had thought that she'd really made a friend at last. When it had come time to jump, the other girl had waved off her boyfriend, choosing instead to linger and chat some more with Korrine before jumping, she'd been going on about how happy she was to be in a new faction, where she could finally be with whoever she wanted. They'd lost track of time though. Korrine had gone first, leaping out of the train and just barely making it onto the roof, she'd landed hard, her knew slamming into the ground as she turned back to smile at Abby. Only Abby hadn't been behind her, the girl's fingers had been clutching at the edge of the roof. Although Kore had gone as fast as she possibly could have, she hadn't made it in time. Abby had slipped through her fingers, screaming out Diggs' given name as she fell. Kore closed her mind against the memory of the smaller girls body broken on the ground, but she couldn't stop hearing her voice in her head, every night now since it had happened.
Swallowing the lump that'd formed in her throat, Kore opened her mouth to reply, only to find that Diggs was no longer paying attention to her. Following his gaze, the blonde's landed on their only female instructor and she briefly wondered if she would get into trouble for not being selfless and stepping in to stop the fight. Then of course, she remembered that she wasn't Abnegation any more, she was Dauntless, and as such she wasn't required to do anything. As a matter of fact.. Turning back to Diggs, she curled her small fist and -mustering as much power as a 5'8'' 118lb girl could- slammed it into the boys already bloody nose. "Don't call me Stiff, Mute." She muttered as she pulled her now bloody hand back, dropping it at her side.

Jinx had seen enough. Yes they were in daughtless but that didn't give them the right to fight against each other. Jinx knew why the boy and the stuff hated each other. Jinx was ontop of the roof but to far away to do anything. If they couldn't make it past the jump they didn't belong. Jinx moved out of her hiding spot before speaking. "all of you front and center. NOW!" jinx was mad. Two initiates already had blood on them. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot. "first and for most there is no fighting between initiates. Ever!" she looked between all three of them and turned to Payton. "you I expected more from you." then she turned to the stiff. "I know what happened nobody is blaming you. If the girl couldn't make the jump she didn't belong."
Jinx sighed and turned finally to the male. "Your girlfriend isn't here. You need to let go. It was an accident so don't blaim her." she sighed and looked between the group. "I could just tell all three of you that you are out and factionless. But because I am nice I won't do that. Those who have injuries go get them cleaned up. Those who don't I don't wanna heard a word out of your mouth the rest of the day." jinx knoded to the group and turned around went back to her spot in the shadows.

Payton saw the grin and knew that she had made a dangerous mistake - she shouldn’t have let her leg be exposed for too long like this. Now she was in for it. The flash of the knife in his hand and then the piercing pain into her leg. She refused to scream, biting the inside of her lip to hold in a whimper. Diggs spun around and she saw the blood on his face, perhaps the only satisfying sight she had seen all day. Her fingertips touched the edge of the blade as she slid to the floor, slowly moving it out of her skin, wincing every time she did. It was going to bleed - she knew that much. It felt horrible - like he had struck a vein or something and Pay used her teeth to rip the bottom of her shirt off into a shred so that she could tie it around her leg. Stop the bleeding, then get back to it, She was ready to go again - wanted that stupid Mute to pay for what he had done to her. Her fingertips were lazy and slow as she wound the fabric around her leg - she could already see the blood seeping through the thin tank top’s strip.
The brunette pushed herself up the doorframe and began limping over to Diggs - fully intending on wiping him off the face of the planet. Or at least using the knife to give him some sort of matching wound. But that was when she saw the Stiff. Raising both of her eyebrows, the blonde girl slammed her hand into Diggs’ already bloodied face. Payton laughed ever so slightly, but the shock of the movement was enough to make her wince at the pain in her leg, “You’ve got guts, Stiff.” She muttered, moving the knife back and forth between her hands. It was only then that she realized that Jinx was standing a few feet away from them. Dammit. Now they were all in for a talking to. Jinx had been around the block before - she knew how these initiate fights went. They were harmless as long as no one got too hurt.
She ordered them front and center and Payton slammed her knife into the table. Screw this. Just because she was beaten and bloody didn’t mean that she needed a talking to. If she wanted a lecture about being responsible and intelligent about her actions, she would have gone to Erudite. Eyes drifted back up to Loverin and she smirked as the girl folded her arms across her chest - here it came...the ever loving lecture that all of them were about to get. They were on the same team. They were in the same Faction. Blah blah blah, it was all a bunch of bull-shit anyway. They were here to destroy each other - to push each other to their breaking points to see who would come out alive. Jinx dropped the no fighting rule and Payton rolled her eyes - as if. Of course, she also threw the blame card on her for being the Dauntless-born. Instead of answering, the brunette tipped an imaginary hat and then when Jinx wasn’t looking, flipped Mute the bird.
Girlfriend, Ah now everything made a bit more sense. The girl that he had lost was his girlfriend. And for some reason he was blaming the Stiff. That could make things a bit more interesting. Payton crossed her arms again, refusing to look at their instructor as she threatened to set them all Factionless. It was an idle threat - they were pretty high on the boards and deserved to stay. She ordered her to go get their injuries cleaned up and Payton moved to exit the room, hobbling as she tried to keep more blood from coming out of her wound. She pushed the door open, not bothering to look back at the rest of them and headed in the direction of Medical. This was going to shape up to be a more interesting initiation period than she had thought.

Diggs couldn’t help but grin at the pain Payton was experiencing it was clear that it was one she was not used to. The smile didn’t last long though as the girl to his left clocked him, right in the nose. His eyes watered on impact but it wasn’t broken, she hit him hard but not at the right angle to break it. Instead of fighting back he laughed, a shallow laugh with minimal signs of pain. He wasn’t scared of her and it wasn’t brave to punch him or take guts, it was a move of cowardice. Saying nothing else he turned to the noise he heard behind him, the punch had messed with sight as his eyes were still filled with the tears that accompany a shot to the nose. He wiped his eyes and walked to the center as he had been instructed.
He looked over and was finally able to see one of his instructors, Jinx he thought her name was. She looked pissed but Diggs could care less, they were Dauntless, Dauntless fought. Simple as that. She went into her spiel and began by attacking Payton. He laughed softly at this but the laugh was quickly replaced with fury as she spoke to the Abnegation transfer. How dare she remove blame from the girl? She had no idea what had happened on the roof, no matter what she said. He wanted to punch her in the throat for talking like Abby’s life like that. He scowled at her and took a glimpse at Payton, who was giving him the finger, he returned the favor and pulled it back right before Jinx turned on him.
He listened to her sad excuse for a speech or whatever she was attempting, he scoffed at her and felt on his head for the cut. It was directly over his eyebrow and bleeding profusely, he would have to go and he was thankful for it, because he was ready to do or say something stupid. He turned hard and went out the same door that Payton had, but instead of sliding out like she had, he blasted the door back against the wall and walked out, taking his aggression out on the large door.

After momentary pauses on each of their parts, the three had moved front and center as ordered, with Kore in the middle of the lineup. The blonde said nothing as Payton got her talking to. She had to admit, Jinx was right on some points. Being a Dauntless-born initiate, Payton should have a bit more control of her actions. Then again, they were Dauntless now, regardless of who they'd been before and they were all in direct competition with one another. The girl's eyes flicked to the leader-boards, eyes scanning for her name. Third, still. Kore had jumped first and had improved greatly with her knife skills, and because of such she was currently the third in line on the transfers side of things. However, she felt sure that things would change once sparring came into the equation. Being slight without much muscle on her, Kore didn't think she'd survive it, but she knew she'd give it her best in the hopes of coming out on top in the end.
The girl's head snapped back around as Jinx addressed her. "If the girl couldn't make the jump she didn't belong." Kore's hands curled into fists at her sides. What did the instructor know about anything? She hadn't been by Kore's side while she'd desperately tried to pull up the other transfer. Abby had been the only friend Korrine had hoped to make here, and though the girl had seemed a bit soft she'd had a spark in her eye, a voice filled with courage and strength. And Kore had let her die. If she'd simply made Abby go first, Kore would be the one lying on the ground, or maybe not. Maybe she'd have been able to pull herself up, or at least hold on until help arrived. By the time Diggs had gotten there, Abby was plummeting towards the earth, his name ripping from her lungs seconds before she hit the ground. In all honesty, Kore was surprised that Diggs hadn't gone ahead and shoved her over the edge with his girlfriend, she'd sure felt like dying at that point.
Kore hadn't realized that Jinx had finished talking some time ago. Blinking, the blonde looked around herself, watching as Diggs walked out the door without a backwards glance. Shaking her head, Kore turned to follow, but stopped after a moment. It wasn't like she needed to go to the infirmary. Save for some bruised knuckles and a bit of blood, the Abnegation transfer was perfectly fine. She looked back over her shoulder at Jinx as she walked to the knife table, picking up a couple of the lethal weapons before turning to her targets. One after the other, Kore let loose the three knives, each landing at kill points in the dummies, all the while with a slight smile curling her lips.
