COLTON ALEXANDER DIGGS-- 16 --DAUNTLESS full name: Colton Alexander Diggs nicknames: Diggs, Dig age: 16 faction birthplace: Erudite current faction: Dauntless sexuality: Hetero occupation: Initiate play by: Matt Lanter
personality: Diggs is cold, heartless. Once upon a time he was a sweet outgoing boy who was madly in love. But now he was living for her, to make her life mean something. To do that he had to be the best, to be the best the Dauntless had ever seen. His size and strength provided a lot of intimidation for those surrounding him. He had a large smile, that was now replaced with a stern expression that almost never left his face. Any smile that appeared was a smirk and it was used in sarcasm and the enjoyment of pain. He wanted everyone to feel like him.
mother: Alexis Diggs father: Tyler Diggs siblings: None to speak of other: The Diggs family is a sad excuse for a family. The parents are plainer than even the average Erudite and Colton just never belongs. He was engaged to be engaged to his girlfriend Abigail. history: The son of two lesser than teachers, Colton grew up in the wrong faction. At least that's how he felt. He had no desire for knowledge, he wanted to be smart but he wanted adventure and so much more than the simplistic lives of the Erudite. He felt lonely in this world until he met her, as so many young men do. Abigail Calderone. The daughter of a highly esteemed Scientist and one of the best doctors in all of Erudite, Abby hated life in the Erudite perhaps more so than Colton. So together they planned their escape, their selection day was quickly approaching and they had decided that they would leave, no matter what their tests said. Colton knew he would select after Abby so wherever she chose he would follow, because he knew as long as he was with her he could handle the life he was living.
On the day of the test Colton wasn't nervous at all, he knew it didn't matter what the test told him, it was more what Abby would find out. Which all signs and knowing her for so long told him they would spend the rest of their days together in Amity, which was more than okay with him. He entered the simulation and followed the instructions, when he finished the person giving the test smiled at him. She was from Dauntless and she explained that was where he had placed. He nodded softly and left the room, he began to wonder what it would be like. To live in Dauntless, to train to be brave but he knew Abby would never place there, so he ignored his curiosity and went home for a last supper with his parents.
The next day during the Choosing Ceremony he watched as his fellow initiates were handed the knife and one by one chose their future. Then Abby was called and she strode across the stage. Reached for the knife and quickly took a step towards to the bowl filled with earth before feeding her blood to the hot coals. Dauntless. He was still confused but was extremely excited. This was more than he could have hoped for. He eventually cut his own hand and joined Abby with the Dauntless, a sad look on his mother's face. He smirked and stood tall, he was so ready for this world.
As they went for the train they discussed it, and Abby was just as surprised as he was. He explained that he was placed there and they got excited. Colton watched as Abby and an Abegnation transfer began to discuss the transfers. Colton walked away and soon they were near the roof. Colton waved her forward but she waved him off. So he jumped alone, knowing she'd be right behind him. But she wasn't. She never made the jump, she slipped and by the time Colton turned around to she was slipping through the abegnation transfers hands. She screamed his name as she went down. He stood up without making a noise, or looking at her now dead body. He fought tears and followed the second jumper. He dove, almost hoping that the fall will indeed kill him. He had to stay strong and holding onto the necklace he had given her, that she had asked him to hold because it didn't match her dress, he landed on the net and realized this was the beginning for him. Colton was no more, Biggs was his name now. Abby would be the last to say his first name.
Delilah had something that Jacen had long since forgotten. Innocence. The pure and absolute innocence of a child. She wasn’t that much younger than him but she looked young and her voice gave the impression that she was still a kid. She still saw the place as a good one with good people and opportunities. Those thoughts had been written off in Jacen’s mind long ago. He saw the world for what it was, hollow and bleak. If you didn’t go after what you wanted, you were wasting what little importance was there to begin with. Jacen knew what he wanted, it had been the same thing since he was Delilah’s age. Power. He wanted to lead but moreover for people to follow him and do his bidding. That’s why he knew he would be minister but there were still moments, where Jacen just wanted to be the little boy who wanted to be a doctor. To help others and save lives. But his heart had frozen since then and he didn’t see the importance of such things anymore, though looking at Delilah he felt that piece of himself again. “Well you’ve certainly made my day better. Thank you”
She spoke of her brother and he couldn’t agree more. Logan had been one of those to do his bidding, always willing to help with anything at a moment’s notice. Though Jacen enjoyed it, the thrill wasn’t there like with others because Logan was like that for everyone. He was just a naturally nice guy and he could see easily how he would over worry about his little sister and mother. Jacen wondered what that must be like, to care for a sibling or parent or any relative really. Jacen had no family, at least as far as he was concerned he didn’t. He kept his eyes focused on the sun as she continued with her sunny outlook on life. He almost laughed at the irony of his own thought but was able to control himself. He almost cracked again when she mentioned warming your heart, Jacen was barely sure he had one and if he did, it was frozen solid. No warmth from the sun was going to fix that. But this little girl didn’t need her hopes dashed by the ice cold Head Boy. “Quite a change after this long winter. This feels wonderful.” He sighed and then heard her question. He chuckled softly as he responded. “I suppose I couldn’t , but still all the same I appreciate it” he smiled and then lowered himself to the grass. He landed on his backside before lying all the way back, propping himself on his elbows as she explained her trip to the wing.
“Ouch that’s rough. Both the sticking and the reaction. That had to be a long few weeks. Glad you are okay.” He had never heard of an allergy to silver or rather any metal really. But he shrugged it off, not like the adorable girl in front of him was a vicious werewolf. She did look well which was nice, or so he found himself thinking. Though he wasn’t entirely sure why, he had no connection to this girl before their chance meeting today.
