Kat was up bright and early. She got dressed in her normal grey abnegation dress that covered her feet, under the dress of course was a pair of grey shoes. Kat did not mind the color it looked good on her daughter. Kat's red hair stuck out like a sore thumb, with everyone else having blonde or brown hair. Maybe that was why her eldest changed factions.
Kat went to the small grey kitchen and started to cook food for her family. She made eggs and toast. No bacon because they have that to the factionless. Kat did not miss meat, dauntless ate that like it was going it of style. It made her sick at times. Soon after she finished making the food she heard a pair of light foot steps coming down the stairs. Kat already knew who it was then.

Sharla Bridget Fae { tag : Kat S. Fae }I woke up early, hearing the sound of my mother's pots and pans banging in the kitchen. It was a familiar sound, it reminded me of when my whole family would join each other for the first meal of the day. Happy and ready to serve each other. But now it would be just me and my mother considering my father was at work and my other siblings left for a different life somewhere else. I didn't mind that Lina left more so than Luke. Lina was never about the Abnegation life but Luke was different. It felt like a piece of me was gone. But I couldn't think about that. It didn't matter about how it effected me. He and Lina were happy and that's what matters.
Pulling on my grey dress, and brushing my hair and letting it hang past my shoulders. I didn't bother to grab my shoes but instead lightly pressed my feet down the stairs. My stomach growled, and I couldn't remember why I was so hungry. I had a good dinner last night, the same how it was every night. I saw my mother cooking and the smell of eggs filled my nose. "Good Morning, Mother." Smiling as I walked over and stood by her side. "Anything I can do?" I ask. Ever since my incident, I always try to do something for others the first thing I do. It makes me feel content.

Sharla stood next to Kat and she smiled at her daughter. "morning sunshine. Actually there is something you can do." Kat always went on a visit to the factionless then to see if the council members were doing okay. Her daughter was on her way to be leader someday so she might as well get used to early mornings. "if you could go fill a bag full of bread and other food we don't need. I'm taking you out today."
Kat waited till Sharla went to do that before taking the eggs of the burner and putting them on two plates. She got the toast putting butter on both and putting it onto the plates. Kat went over to their small table and set the plates down waiting for her daughter to come to the table. When they were at home Kat didn't act so abnegation like she did when they were out. It wasn't that she didn't want to she just needed a break. So during meals when Nate was not there she would let her daughter talk.
Normal children are not supposed to talk, then again her daughter was a full abnegation member so she was aloud to talk when she wanted to. It wasn't like when she was little and she was not able to talk during meals. After meals were different. They talked and the parents stayed quiet. abnegation was so weird to her at times. She came from dauntless were everyone talked and ate everything or sometimes nothing. They fought and trained everyday. Kat could not take that life everyday.

Sharla Bridget Fae{ tag : Kat S. Fae }The eggs were sizzling on the burner, the smell of smoke rising from them. Glancing at the eggs, I looked at my mother. She smiled at me. Mother smiled like Lina did, a little smaller then some smiles but still bright. Luke told me I smiled so big that I would give some of the other people in the fractions a run for their money. Not that I smile very often, but I do smile around my family and people I believe need the brightness in their lives. I was so lucky to have a family and a house, while the fraction less didn't have either. "Morning sunshine. Actually there is something you can do." Watching her as she searched for the bag, I twirl my thumbs. "If you could go fill a bag full of bread and other food we don't need. I'm taking you out today." Taking the bag from her hands I bit my lip. "Of course." My mother always stressed giving what we don't need to the fraction less. This was a normal routine. I would fill the bag and she would go out and distribute the food. But this time, I hope she will bring me with her.
Slipping my my mother just close enough I don't hit her I make my way over to the pantry. Opening it up I hum a tune to my self in search for what she said. Sure enough I found some loaves of bread and canned good's to put in the bag. Non-perishable food was always the best. Although, it was all we really had. Abnegation citizens lived too far away from the farms to get the fresh food from the farms. But in a lucky occurrence that we did get fresh food, we gave it away. It was what they expected us to do so I think we don't get our share any more because we just give it away. Closing the pantry, I walk back to my mother in the kitchen. I set the cans on the counter, making a little bit of a louder noise then I should have Cringing I force a smile. "Sorry." It was too early in the morning for such noise.
I see the food that my mother set down at the table and I abandon the bag. My stomach growled at I pranced over to the table. Waiting for my mother to start, I stared at the food and pursed my lips. "I am so hungry today, I could eat a horse!. I don't know why though." I giggle. "Not actually though." Not waiting any longer I picked up my piece of toast and took a bit. Looking up at my mother I gave her a look that meant thank you. She knew I was grateful. My mother was a powerful women. Somehow she managed her work with her family time better then anyone I know. It's a miracle how she does it.
