personality: Sharla maybe considered the perfect Abnegation girl. Humble and gets a satisfaction of helping others. Throughout the years, Sharla developed an unwavering belief in God and that the true reason of the fall was because of selfish intents. She is rather shy, hardly ever going up to anyone without them coming up to her first. Hardly ever sharing her personal life she seems like a person that nobody understands. Passive and rather closed off, she deals with her own problems in her mind, but tried to ignore them because she is afraid of acting selfishly.
Her dedication to Abnegation and her family is unwavering, unlike her brother. She realized she holds grudges on people but does her best to ignore them. After initiation, when she chose to be a representative she realized her life must be dedicated to the people and she must show a connection with them so they truly can trust her. It's her goal to meet the people she is serving and tried to cater to all their needs. Sometimes, never being able to say no when people ask for her help and quality advice.

history: Sharla's life has always been centered around her fraction. Ever since she was born her mother and father gave her the teaching and resources she needed to be a model Abnegation member. Unlike her brother and sister, her heart never left Abnegation and she never dreamed of ever leaving. Kat and Neo told her the importance of being a good citizen and most of all a selfless person. Her mother, being head of Abnegation was her role model and it kept Sharla on the hard like of giving up yourself for others. There was some sort of beauty in self-sacrifice and happiness in others that Sharla loved.
Family was a big part of Sharla's life. She loved her family and would do anything for them. Her twin Luke and her were the best of friends, often enough working with each other and helping with homework. They promised to never leave each others sides and do anything for each other. Lina and her wren't as close but still loved each other.
When they are allowed to cut their hair, was the only time Sharla would ever had thought of looking in the mirror. Even then Sharla didn't look up at herself. One day, Lina told her that her eyes were pretty. Sharla said thank you, but felt awkward. At the young age of 10, Lina had a power over her. Somehow Lina managed to get her to look into the mirror. Sharla remembers uncovering the mirror all to well where she sat in mezmorzation because she had never seen herself before. her mother told her she had only cried once when she was a baby, but she cried herself to sleep that night knowing how she had wallowed in vanity.
When Initiation time came, Sharla hadn't changed her mind from the day she could understand what people were saying. Her choice was simple. Her blood fell on the grey rocks just like everyone knew they would. How could she leave such a righting fraction? However, Luke had a different opinion from it all. Sharla remembers watching her brothers blood sizzle on the hot coals of Dauntless. Sharla cried for the third time in her life. How could Luke betray her like that? Sharla knew good and well that Luke wasn't meant for this life, she could tell by how quiet he was at the dinner table when initiation testing were over. Her biggest fear came true. She was the only one left.
Going to go see him was the hardest of all. The Dauntless compound was a new, and rather scary sight to her. She was out of place that day, in her all grey clothes. Luke greeted her with much enthusiasm. Sharla didn't say a word, her eyes bulging when she saw how he dressed, his ink markings all over his arms. Luke had changed, and she was the same old Sharla. Pity for Luke was changed to anger, which she knew was unrational. Sharla hasn't seen him till this day. How could he leave Abnegation? How could he have left her for his own happiness? How selfish was he? Sharla left the Dauntless compound with a new thought. She had to make up for the selfishness of her brother.
She engulfs herself with community work and selfless acts to keep her anger at cool embers. It was all she knew how to do.
