It was time that Kat brought the factionless food. She needed to do something other than sit around and do nothing but read documents. True she shouldn't be thinking that way because she is abnegation and bringing the factionless food gives her joy but nobody knew that. There was one person she really wanted to see today. Max Pierce. He was in Abnegation before he moved to Dauntless. Then he failed initiation and Kat took it upon her to make sure he had food to eat and clothes on his back. Even though he seams to be doing fine on his own. She still wanted, no wrong words, she needed to make sure he was okay. It was apart of her to make sure he was. To make sure everybody was. Kat walked along the streets of the city to where she knew his "group" was. More like just a big group of Factionless who just congregated there. They were not really a group more than a bunch of people in a group.
Kat sat down on the floor and waited for them to come over to her. She sent the box in front of her and then got up and moved away. She held a few apples in her jacket pocket for Max when she found her. Most parents didn't care when their children failed initiation then again Kat was not his parent but she was head of Abnegation, his old faction. She still cared about him even if he wasn't in that faction anymore.

Max was busy running errands again just like any other day. This one hasn't been any different. It was the same schedule and same routine every single day. It was boring and slightly exhausting especially with the Erudite having more and more document errands to run. Sure, paper wasn't heavy like the boxes he sometimes has to carry from one faction to another but it was the length of the route that was rather tiring. As soon as he received the stack of papers savely hidden inside an envelope he stuffed it, carefully of course to not damage it, inside his messenger bag which was slung around his shoulders. He memorized the adress and with a quick nod headed off.
He should have been used to sticking around in other factions by now but it still felt too unfamiliar for it to feel comfortable. Plus, Erudite always gave off this weird vibe. Maybe it was because they were all smart and well, he was definitely not as smart as them - and considering he dropped out of initiation because of a girl might not make him seem so smart as well. But that was another story and either way he would never care what others say about that. He knew it wasn't just because of a girl - it was more. It might have been rather reckless but he couldn't care less. That was his nature anyway.
After handing over the letter Max ran back to the factionless sector, which was pretty much everywhere, and joined a few of his pals he met there. Sticking together was important when one was factionless. Not only does it help with getting through the whole situation but it also helped in defending oneself and others. People looked down at them but after years that wasn't something that bothered him anymore - although he always used it as a reason to let his fists fly.
Walking around with the group was amusing. Just like any others they joked around. Upon reaching the navy peer where they were heading to he spotted a familiar looking red-head. With a faint smirk on his face he left the group, jogging towards the head of Abnegation. "Hello Mrs. Fae." he said politely, though he smirked at her while saying it. Having something polite coming out of his mouth just made him chuckle because it looked and probably sounded ridiculous. "How are things going in Abnegation?"
