KORRINE ELIZABETH ACKERMAN
16 -- DAUNTLESS full name: Korrine Elizabeth Ackerman nicknames: Kore age: 16 faction birthplace: Abnegation current faction: Dauntless sexuality: Heterosexual occupation: Dauntless Initiate play by: Skyler Samuels
personality: Korrine is an odd individual to say the least. In her old faction, the girl displayed none of the usual Abnegation traits. Instead of taking things at face value, like the others of her faction, the young blonde has shown to have an extremely inquisitive nature. With sharp eyes she studies everything around her, taking things in while rarely letting her guard drop. A bit of a loner, the blonde prefers to stay on the outside of a group, almost as if she were afraid to let herself get too close to anyone else. Always one to prove herself, Korrine will often take unnecessary risks just to she can look someone in the eye and say "Yeah, I did it."
Korrine has the attitude and tenacity of many Dauntless-born initiates, and if she wasn't obviously a transfer some would be hard-pressed to figure out her original faction. Kore isn't the kind of girl to back down from a fight, nah, she'll get right up in someones face if they mess with her, and to be completely honest she isn't above knocking someone down a few pegs either.
Korrine likes to act like nothing fazes her, but everyone has to be afraid of something. For Kore, her biggest fear is being trapped in a small, dark space. Haha yes, it's very funny since she practically lives underground. As long as she has a wide space to move about in, the dark doesn't faze this girl, but lock her in a small dark closet and she's liable to scream the heavens down. Other than that, Kore's other two fears are not being able to save her younger sister, Kenley, and being trapped within her own mind.
mother: Amy Ackerman father: George Ackerman siblings: Kenley Ackerman other: none history: Korrine was born in Abnegation, but she never truly felt like she belonged there. The other members of her faction never had any problems putting others before themselves, whereas Korrine would often have to force herself to be selfless as was expected.
Kore wasn't surprised that she tested out of Abnegation completely on Aptitude day. In fact, the only three factions she tested positive for were Candor, Erudite, and Dauntless. Despite being an honest person, Kore knew she could not never tell a lie, and despite her love of knowledge she hated how superior Erudite acted towards those around them. Korrine thought long and hard about which decision she would make, and chose Dauntless in the end with the hopes that she would be able to be herself.
Though she's note a Dauntless-born initiate, Korrine has vowed that she will make it through initiation. She may not know what's coming for her, but the Abnegation transfer is no Stiff, and she's not going to be pushed aside just because she was born in the wrong place.
Mariska was, needless to say, amazed by the surface world. she couldn't believe it, really. Everything here was so much better than the pictures she saw in history books. Smiling softly to herself, the girl wondered if she would be able to find someplace semi-warm to set up camp for the night, though that didn't seem too likely given the current weather conditions. Biting her lip, the blonde pulled her jacket closer around her, burying her gloved hands into its pockets.
As she forced herself through what had to be at least six inches of snow, the young girl kept a close eye on the area around her. Though she'd never known anyone that'd gotten attacked by a bandit personally, she knew that it could happen to anyone. In school, they'd been told that some people on the surface would attack, and steal your items, and though Mari had nothing of real value on her, she didn't want her to get jumped right off the bat. Taking a deep breath, she pushed through some frozen grass, startling some wild birds into flight. With a girlish shriek, Mari leaped back, managing to trip over some long-forgotten object and land promptly on her arse in the snow.
Laughing self-consciously the blonde moved to push herself back into a standing position, but stopped when she heard a voice. "Hey!" It sounded like a male, and there was an answering "Hey!" that came from the other direction, this time female. Moving forward again, she could just barely make out two figures through the snow. Were these bandits or fellow Neo kids out on their own like her? Grasping the small dagger by her side, Mari figured she may as well be prepared to defend herself just in case. "H-ello?" Mariska cringed. Her voice was far too soft to be heard through the snow and she knew it. Taking a deep breath, she stood up from the grass and cupped her hands around her mouth. "HEY!" This time, the noise was loud, echoing off the walls of the nearby abandoned building. There she stood, tensed and ready to run at the first sign of danger while she waited worriedly for a reply.
