Not even the bread can solve this ||open||

The fence; It held their city in and throughout Daniels life, has never been opened. At least not by the amity of course. Everything still felt strange to him, to be a leader. He was one of the youngest representatives the city had seen in quite some time. Until recently, he had not known of the overwhelming responsibilities and secrets that have been passed down from each leader of amity. Tonight, Dan needed some fresh air. He was sitting on a large boulder that was part of the land and starring at the tall and complex structure that had withstood many generations before him; the fence.

He often came out here when he felt dilemmas arising in the city. He loved amity with all of his heart, but their atmosphere can often take you out of reality and suggest you to just shrug off things that weren’t an immediate issue. Out here, Daniel could think clearly. There was something going on, something happening between the factions that he just couldn’t wrap his mind around. Even in his own faction, he could feel tensions rising in the air that not even the bread could solve.

It was that as well as the crops too. Orders have been late, crops have been delayed and that caused food distributions to become much lower than their seasonal norm. The sooner I can meet with the other representatives…. The better. Daniel thought scratching his beard. His eyes reached up to the sky where stars twinkled and greeted him with their light. The stars were on of his favorite parts of the world and Dan believed that whoever made them or had brought them into existence was ought to be greatly appreciated. Dan wasn’t religious but at times he always wondered. Few people in amity were superstitious about weather and a higher status that may control it, but it didn’t amuse him. Daniel wasn’t Erudite and could accept the fact that he would never fully know or understand why and how things in this world worked. He was okay with that.
