GREY A. HUDSON-- 19 -- ABNEGATION full name: Grey A. Hudson nicknames: Huddy (childhood) age: 19 faction birthplace: Dauntless current faction: Abnegation sexuality: Heterosexual occupation: Works in the “Food Distributer” offices play by: Christa B Allen
personality: Grey is both passive and awkward; the only two traits that have marked her as Abnegation. She is usually never the first to talk in a conversation and remains extremely reserved about her personal life --- or at least that is what she has been trained to do for the past three years. She has never been an outspoken leader, but her passion lies with the abnegation’s “field” work. Derived from her Dauntless birthplace, she still has the need to get her hands dirty and take the initiative to volunteer and help in the parts of the city that require more of a “hands-on” approach. When she is out there, Grey reveals a sense of humor that is usually not shown within the city as well as a spirit, a brave and daring spirit that needs to be set free. Though self-convinced she is happy with her live in abnegation, there is a set bomb in her personality, ticking and ready to explode at any second. She can not hold in her crave for adrenaline and she cannot handle anymore of the suffocating life that is Abnegation. However, all she can do is go unnoticed and blend in with the abnegation gray until that bomb explodes and gee darn who knows what happens?
mother: Adira Hudson (late) father: Dan Hudson siblings: none other: Asa <3 history: Grey grew up in dauntless. She never had any problem fitting in with the lifestyle or the people there. It was “home” until a few months before her aptitude test. Her mother, Adira, was in an accident one day and had broken her leg so severely that she could never walk the same, much less run. Adira was no longer useful to the dauntless and in the end had taken her life. Grey took her mother’s death hard and never understood the dauntless ways when it came to handling the old or wounded. When taking the aptitude test she surprisingly scored for abnegation, This gave Grey just enough willpower to leave the dauntless --- and a few very important friends. Abnegation was selfless unlike the dauntless, unlike her mother. And in a world that wash so cruel and harsh, she instead hoped to find people that were kind and giving. She feared to go back to the place where her mother was forced to take her life. Initiation was a struggle, there was a day when she had started a fight with another transfer from Candor and had broken his nose. After that incident and a few other times where she had made the mistake of being selfish, Grey learned that the only way to fit in was to just keep quiet. Grey knew that the others thought of her as selfish, but three years of keeping quiet, blending in and volunteer work had helped her overcome the accusations around her. She became more and more reserved, passive and had slowly lost her fiery, dauntless spirit -- or so it seemed from the outside.
Please put your RP sample here. This does not need to be specifically for your character, but a showcase of your skills in general. ONLY REQUIRED FOR YOUR FIRST CHARACTER. Grey looks up from her desk. She had been filing paperwork in the offices for hours when the lights shut off on her. She rubbed her swollen eyes and groaned a bit. Her work went later into the night than in usually did, “You know, being the OH-so-selfless person I am”. She hobbled around the desk and through the dark trying to recall where random objects were placed throughout the room. It reminded her of the dauntless compound. Dark. No, no… it’s nothing like it. She found the door handle and eventually her way out of the building. She managed to only stub her toe about twice before she got out; a new record! She walked two blocks West, one block South. Something was odd, however, no one was outside... Grey had not seen a single soul since her boss left her at work. It left an eerie presence in the streets that made her skin crawl. She looked up; storm coulds were coming on in the distance. Maybe that was it;She caught a glimpse of all the tall works of concrete and steel touching the sky. Everything that was beyond the Abnegation compound and the people that lived there; the factionless. She saw them about three times a week when they made deliveries. Would it be so bad to be factionless?... Yes. Probably. I'd rather die... Grey looked down the street to her apartment that she shared with some of her co-workers. She had not yet married, much less found anyone in which she had an interest in. What is keeping me here? … no stop! Grey. Leaving would be selfish. She told herself. I am so close to fitting in. So close. I like it here. I really do.
