ADELAIDE ELIZA CLARK- 17 -- AMITY full name: Adelaide Eliza Clark nicknames: Adi age: 17 faction birthplace: Dauntless current faction: Amity sexuality: Heterosexual occupation: training to be a counselor play by: Dianna Agron
personality: Adelaide is your typical amity girl. Despite being raised dauntless she excels and flourishes as an amity. Like her fellow Amity she is kind, forgiving and tends to always see the good in others. She hates bloodshed and unnecessary violence. She takes on the view that the world would run better if everyone took time to understand their fellow man. She loves reading, and meeting new people. She also enjoys listening to others and taking everything in which has come in handy in her future profession. She watches and studies people, making little notes of their tendencies or personalities. She is very empathetic and wants to help everyone. This can sometimes lead into a bit of naivety and in the past people have taken advantage of that and have used her. Despite everything she isn't one that angers easily, and doesn't care if others call her names. The only thing that angers her is others being unkind or someone bullying. She tries to forget about her old faction and although she tries her best to push it away the loss of her family sometimes gets to her. She misses them greatly, but forgives them for their beliefs even if those beliefs were the reasons why they abandoned her.
mother: Caroline Maddison Clark father: Ben Scott Clark siblings: Jason Xander Clark (older - Dauntless) other: - none - history:
Adelaide was born into dauntless to Caroline and Ben Clark, the sister to Jason Clark. In the beginning she tried her best to fit in. Even at a young age Jason would train her to fight and work with weapons. Adelaide had the physical skill, but lacked the passion. She didn't enjoy fighting and hurting others.
She grew up and the years got worse. It was clear to the other dauntless kids that she wasn't cut out for them. While they were getting tattoos and piercings she wanted to read and sing. She didn't have the drive to prove herself. She just didn't see the point. She knew she mattered and she didn't care if someone thought she was tough or not. She quickly became her parent's embarrassment.
Her brother Jason went through initiation and soon became a strong Dauntless member, which made the situation even worse. Her parents pushed her to train more, and fight more. They encouraged other kids to pick on her hoping it would awaken a drive, but it never did. If anything it solidified her wanting to leave, her desire to join somewhere that she could be free.
When Adelaide turned 16 her brother secretly pulled her into a hug knowing they would most likely never see each other again. It was clear she would not be staying in Dauntless. Her choice was easy...Amity. She breathed a sigh of relief and felt all of the pressure to be something different than what she is float away. For the first time in her life she could laugh and dance and read whenever and wherever she wanted. She felt for the first time she could be free. She could care about people without it being a sign of weakness. She joined her new Amity family and never looked back.
Adelaide was having an off day. She had woken up late to a class and got a lecturing about the importance of timing in front of the younger campers. Then she realized that she had forgotten to write up her report on the affects of ancient greek art in modern day culture so she was told to stay after class and write it. It took almost an hour to get everything written down and whenever she was through she sprinted to the mess hall only to find that lunch was over and all she could get was a quick smoothie. She grabbed the smoothie and went to gulp it down when she ended up spilling it all over her shirt. She swore and ran to the cabins to change, asking the Gods in her mind what she had done to deserve such a crappy day.
She sprinted from the cabin in her new clothes and took off to archery. She smiled a little anticipating the feel of the arrow and bow. She was soon irritated though to see that her bad luck had spilled over to the archery range, she had missed two out of the five targets which was quite bad for her usual skills. She put the bow and arrows up and grabbed her bag, she was officially done with the whole day. It seemed like nothing, not even one of her favorite things was meant to go right for her today. She had bad days sure, but this was ridiculous. She felt her stomach growl and glanced at her watch. She would be a little early to dinner but she didn't care. She would just make sure to get a good spot in the line.
As she walked with her mood annoyed and irritated she couldn't help the storm clouds that began making their way over the camp. Then when she tripped over a stepping stone by accident and fell to the ground thus ripping a hole in her jeans a loud thunderclap roared from the clouds. No, today was not her day.She pushed through the mess hall doors angrily, it was rare that she was this mad, but it was also rare to have such a crappy day. She moved past a group of campers and heard them whispering something about her being a cold-hearted mental case. She clenched her fists and lightening ripped nearby through the sky. The once beautiful day was now a storm ready to let loose. She tried to take a calming breath and grabbed a plate of food. She opted for the cheeseburger and fries, sure she would have to run extra long to work them off, but she didn't care. She deserved a good burger, plus she had missed lunch and breakfast too. Adi took her plate and sat near the back, away from everyone and started to eat. She watched silently as the rain began to pour from the sky outside.
