personality: clare is probably one of the bubbliest and most cheerful dauntless has ever seen. she is rarely in a bad mood and if she is she doesn't show it. unlike others she is a social butterfly. just the thought of being alone scares her. she might get a bit obsessive over her friends but she will be loyal and protective - someone who would do anything not to lose the ones she loves. awkward silence moments is something she doesn't even know! this girl talks a lot...a lot. if you want her to shut up you will have to tape her mouth.
but there is something she inherited from her parents: determination. even though learning or studying is really not her thing she won't give up easily. she knew what she was having to go through choosing dauntless as her faction so she is willing to learn and do what she has to do. while she might not be the strongest she is swift and fast. she can be really competetive at times and depending on what she likes to show off. may it be clothing or fighting skills (although these are very underdeveloped).
underneath all those bubble gum traits clare has a soft heart and is very sensitive about things. you might think she has a short temper and explodes as soon as you insult her but she prefers to stay quiet. she doesn't even dare to talk back to someone, especially not to someone with authority. she is someone who can't take anyone screaming at her or being mad at her which usually results in her crying. but really, she gets easily scared so even if someone just taps her on the shoulder in the dark she will scream and possibly cry. be nice and don't do that. also, she is really impatient. waiting is something she hates. she can't stand still or be patient. what is patience?! if you don't look out for her she will just impulsively do something. did I mention that she is very forgetful? on one hand it's convenient because she will most likely forget every secret you tell her but on the other hand if you want her to do something for you she will forget about that too unless you write it on her arm with a permanent marker.

history: clara was the only child of the evans family which is why she got all the attention. it's also the reason why she can't live without having people around her. anyways, unlike other dauntless family's the evans were a more kind one. they weren't as strict as others or trained their child as if she had to enter war. she didn't receive any training until the age of 14 so everything was pretty normal until then. of course she fought with other children because they teased her for talking so much and being way too optimistic. she's probably the best at pulling someone's hair and scratching/clawing with her nails. beware. cat fights were nothing unusual.
at the day of the aptitude test clare wasn't really nervous. she entered the room and went through the simulation. she knew that erudite, abnegation and candor would be no choice for her but amity sounded tempting. having a life full of peace and friendly people around her...but she couldn't leave her family. if she loves and cares about someone she is going to stay with them - stick to them like glue. so the choice she made the next day wasn't a hard one to do. with confidence she held out her hand and let the blood drizzle over the hot charcoals. she flashed a bright smile at her parents and watched them return her smile before she walked down and joined the other dauntless initiates.
